Our Story

CHEFS Kitchen is a social enterprise of nonprofit Episcopal Community Services (ECS) and provides a platform for culinary training and employment for homeless and very low income people in the San Francisco Bay Area. We use our kitchens to teach culinary skills in our CHEFS Training Program with graduates moving on to employment in all aspects of food service. CHEFS Kitchen is a catering business +  employment opportunity for CHEFS students + great marketing for our work. Together CHEFS Training Program and CHEFS Kitchen have been operating for more than 20 years creating great food and great employees for our community.
